Installing and configuring FirstClass Application Services
This help document will assist you in installing and configuring FCAS in either a Windows or Macintosh environment.
On the drive where you installed FCAS, you will find an FCAS folder and inside there a settings file named fcas.fc.
On a Macintosh computer, you will find the FCAS folder in the Library of your hard drive. Locate the fcasd.fc settings file.
Using your FirstClass client, open the fcas.fc or fcasd.fc file and click on Setup. Enter 5000000000 in the UserID field and in the Password field, enter the same password that you entered in the gateway password field. In the server field, enter the IP address or domain name of your FirstClass server. If you are running FCAS and FirstClass Server on the same server, you can enter 127.0.0.1, the loopback address. Click on Save to return to the login screen.
You can test to make sure that you have configured the settings correctly by clicking on the Login Button and verify that you get a connection to your server. If so, exit the client and launch FCAS
