The FirstClass client is copyright 2006 by Open Text Corporation.
The FirstClass client is the graphical front-end software required to connect to FirstClass servers. It is designed for use with FirstClass Business or Education Edition version 8.3 and has all the trusted communication and collaboration functions of previous FirstClass client products.
You are free to install and distribute this software providing it is distributed in its entirety and no modifications are made. All other rights are reserved by Open Text Corporation.

Major features and fixes in this release
• Default download folder on the Preferences form is now correct.
• Background image in documents shows up fine.
• Index buttons are no longer missing in contact database.
• Hovering cursor over buttons on Customize Toolbars selects just one of them.
• Show/Hide Deleted Items menu option updates fine.
• Image can now be inserted using Insert File command.
Known Issues
• the client is built on 32 bit linux and does not always dynamically link properly on 64 bit linux distributions
• Client crashes when choosing Summarize Selected for more than one message.
• Exported items stay opened on the Desktop and attempting to close them crashes the Client.
• Push to Talk on Instant Message doesn't work and crashes the Client.
• When replying to a message, cursor is showing in the To field instead of the body.
• Dragging an image with extended characters to a message body brings [6125] error message.
• Opening fcp link from Bookmarks folder brings target object with an error message "Protocol not supported fcp".
• Whole Directory window opened without typing a partial name closes very fast.
• Opening an application via pressing the Application Launch button disables all other buttons.
• Problems with vertical scroll bar in horizontally split containers.
• Color in list view can't be changed from the Format menu.
• Help shortcuts are missing.
• Edit Bar dropdown lists are not closing unless one of the options is selected.
• Presentation page opens with the menu bar at the top.
• There are old icons on some forms.
• Add to Bookmarks form is too long.
• Slider Control is missing on the View Properties form.
• List Directory search content becomes invisible when its window its resized.
• Not all options show on the Edit Bar extension menu when a message is dragged narrower .
• Insert Voice is not working and may crash or hang up client.
• Form buttons show colored spots when Thin Keramik Widget Style is selected.
• Make Link sometimes creates unusable links.
• When pressing Invite button from IM form, the Directory window may be truncated by the right and bottom desktop borders.
• The Admin Desktop menu has Admin to the right of Help.
• Calendar in Month view and read only mode is unreadable, items description and time don't show up.
• Ctrl-insert for copy and Shift-insert for paste don't work.
• Calendar task description doesn't appear in Month view on a calendar pane.
• Search form doesn't collapse when More options is unchecked.
