You receive a 1037 error when you try to send a message, create a new calendar event, create a new document, or upload a file

12502_93742_0.png

This means that the 1792 flaggable message limit has been exceeded in the mailbox, calendar, or conference you are attempting the action in (posting, uploading, or creating a document). On FirstClass 8 Server, this limit has been increased to 4096. Please notify the owner or controller of the mailbox, conference or calendar by other means. If you are the owner or controller of the mailbox, conference, or calendar involved, archive it so that the number of objects in the mailbox, conference, or calendar falls below the 1792 limit.

There is an overall maximum of 32 thousand total objects (flaggable and non-flaggable) in a container.
There is also a maximum of 1792 (or 4096 for version 8.0+) flaggable objects in a container.
This limit applies to the root of a container. For example, you could have a folder containing up to 1792 received messages and a number of sub-folders, and each sub-folder could contain up to 1792 received messages and a number of sub-folders, etc.

A container is defined as any of the following: a user's desktop, a mailbox, a conference, a calendar, a folder.

What is considered flaggable:

Received messages
Uploaded files
Documents
Calendar events*
Calendar tasks

What is not considered flaggable:

Calendars, conferences, or folders**
Groups
Gateways
Sent or unsent messages***

*a repeating event is treated as a single flaggable object for the 1792 limit
**these are flaggable but are not considered flaggable objects for the 1792 limit
***unsent messages are flagged but are not considered flaggable objects for the 1792 limit
This information applies to FirstClass Server version 7.0, 7.1, 8.0 and 8.1.
