Remotely starting Internet Services - Version 7.0 to 8.0
If Internet Services isn't running or if it has shutdown for some reason, in most cases you can restart it via the Basic Internet Setup form. In order for this to work, Internet Services must be on the same computer as the FirstClass Server. This will not work if the FirstClass Server is set up as a service on a Windows platform. This will also not work if the FirstClass Server and Internet Services are running on Mac OS X.
Log in as the admin, go to Internet Services, open Basic Internet Setup:
1a. if the Start Internet Services automatically checkbox is checked, uncheck it and click on OK. Then reopen Basic Internet Setup. Proceed to step 2.
1b. if the Start Internet Services automatically checkbox is unchecked, proceed to step 2.
2. Check the Start Internet Services automatically checkbox and click on OK.
Internet services should now start up again. Check the Internet Monitor to be sure.
