Hello there!
Welcome to my site, which, if you are a FirstClass customer, may contain some interesting information for you!
I won't be wasting your time, so please find below some free, fully functional applications that demonstrate the power of FirstClass Application Services. Note that most applications require (free) registration to have access to all features.
Please note that these applications are provided as-is, and are not supported by the OpenText / FirstClass support teams (see disclaimer below). Any issues with these apps must be reported to me by email at wdejong(a)opentext.com. They will be resolved on a best-effort basis.

FirstClass Export Tool 1.1 (Build 33) |
The FirstClass Export Tool can export all received and sent messages from FirstClass conferences, OpenText Social Workplace communities and folders (also known as containers), including those in sub-containers, to files on your FirstClass Desktop or on your computer.
This application uses the latest features available in FirstClass Application Services version 4523 or newer to export messages to MBOX-formatted files.
The MBOX format is an open standard, which can be handled by many third-party and legacy email clients, such as Thunderbird by Mozilla and Eudora by QualComm.
Enhancements in FirstClass Export Tool 1.1 Build 33:
- Encode more special characters (*?%$#@) in output filenames.
- Updated copyright date on forms.
Enhancements in FirstClass Export Tool 1.1 Build 32:
- Added functionality to search for items relative to the Desktop or a selected container, and export the result as an MBOX formatted file. Note that this is limited to about 1,000 matching items, due to a server limit.
- When the user is not a member of the FCExport Admin Users, ensure that their access permissions are taken into account.
- Show the user’s mailbox when user is not a member of the FCExport Admin Users group.
- Automatically check for software updates.

FirstClass RSS Feeder 1.0 (Build 38) |
The RSS Feeder is an RSS aggregator for FirstClass and OpenText Social Workplace.
With the RSS Feeder, you can submit RSS feeds, public feeds and feeds that require authentication, to FirstClass Conferences, OpenText Social Workplace Communities and The Pulse or as email messages.
Since the release of OpenText Social Workplace (OTSW), the social media application for business, customers have been asking for aggregating RSS feeds into OTSW communities. Until recently, the only solutions available were online feed-to-email services, such as FeedMyInbox.
With the arrival of the all new RSS Feeder application, we now have a native solution available. With this tool, the System Administrator or OTSW Custodian can setup any number of RSS feeds, which are delivered as messages, documents or wikis to a community, conference or mailbox. The application can also deliver RSS feeds to external email addresses, which means that the RSS Feeder is a feed-to-email service by itself.
Enhancements in FirstClass RSS Feeder 1.0 Build 38:
- Simplified the configuration and handling of Twitter feeds.
- Improved basic HTTP authentication.
Enhancements in FirstClass RSS Feeder 1.0 Build 37:
- Automatically check for software updates.
Enhancements in FirstClass RSS Feeder 1.0 Build 36:
- When a connection to an RSS feed fails, the RSS Feeder attempts to connect three more times before disabling the feed, rather than disabling the feed immediately.
